Installation Note: Apply some grease on the thread prior to installation to reduce friction. Make sure the thread is the same and aligned before installation. Do not forcibly tighten if you feel unusual resistance.

Do not apply grip or 'interface grease' paste to the axle body, especially near the washer surface. Use standard grease (e.g. Shimano grease) for installation. Grip paste/interface grease may cause the axle to seize or bind. Apply grease on axle threads only.
