When a major titanium parts manufacturer dives into the world of carbon wheelsets, of course, we'll get a titanium flavour to it! 

Introducing the Laget C45, with 45mm rim depth, imported Toray T800 from Japan, and custom Titanium Alloy Spokes! 

With a tyre compatibility of 25-45C, this wheelset is suitable for roadies and gravel grinders alike, though, compared to the C33, the slightly narrower rims might suit the roadies more.

Custom Ultralight Titanium Spokes

Each spoke weighs 3.8g, roughly 40% lighter than ultralight aluminium spokes, while delivering twice the impact and fatigue toughness of aluminium alloy.

For road/gravel riding, that fatigue resistance matters far more than most riders appreciate.

This is where Laget's background as a titanium manufacturer sets the C45 apart from other carbon gravel wheels at this price point.

Toray T800 Carbon Construction

T800 is a high-modulus fibre from Toray, Japan, a step up from the T700 carbon found in most mid-range carbon wheels.

It offers a better stiffness-to-weight ratio, and on the C45 it delivers a 45mm deep rim at around 1238g all-in.

The raw finish also means you can actually see the quality of the layup rather than having it hidden under paint.

36T Planetary Ratchet Hub

36 points of engagement means 10-degree intervals between clicks, noticeably snappier pickup than a standard 24T pawl hub.

Planetary ratchet mechanisms also tend to hold up better than traditional pawl systems when mud and grit get into the hub.
