Modern 6.57kg 3D-Printed Titanium Road Bike | Laget Pioneer One Full Build Breakdown
Titanium Doesn't Have to Look Like Traditional Titanium
This Pioneer One build does away with the traditional image of titanium bikes with the round/oval tubes, heavy feel and classic aesthetic. With the frame completely 3D-printed, as its name suggests, it is a pioneer in the industry.
Before we begin, let's just take some time to admire the bike ❤️
Being fully 3D-printed, the Pioneer One Frameset has sections that taper and curve in ways round or oval tubing simply can't, and an overall silhouette that reads like a modern road bike.
The material properties of titanium remain, and hence, this bike is super practical as it scratches less easily, is more resistant to impact forces, and is repairable for a worry-free ride. The Laget Pioneer One does all this while coming in below the UCI legal limit too! Who says you need carbon for a lightweight build?
Without further ado, let's jump in and satiate our appetite for some lovely titanium bling.

Standout features include the No.6 58/65mm Wheelset, Gold YBN 12s Titanium Chain, Overfast Vela Crankarms.

Overfast's Ultra Lightweight Bar Tape make a feature here too, weighing at a measly 19g for the set.

At least they get to admire the bike.
Dropped seatstays are a ubiquitous feature with modern geometries.

Less obvious in the background is the Ti-Parts Titanium Front Caliper Adapter with Lewis R2 Brake Calipers, with extra large pistons for smooth and powerful braking.
Oh, and not forgetting the stock aluminium thru-axles that Laget provides!

- Overfast Vela Carbon Crankarms
- Cybrei Aluminium Spider
- Cybrei 1x 52T Aluminium Chainring
- YBN SLA 12s Gold Titanium ChainAndddd.. a hidden feature: TriPeak T47 BB with Ceramic Bearings!
All these parts come together in harmony for an understated look with a touch of gold accent and great performance.

And there we have it! A modern 3D-Printed Titanium Road Bike.
The icing on the cake would be just how much this build weighs!

6.57kg! Haha! I wish my own bike was as light as this!
Well, hope you enjoyed this build today!
This build did make me think...
If I could only have 1 road bike, something that could do it all - coffee rides, joy rides, training rides, gran fondos, and even a criterium or two, the Laget Pioneer One could certainly be that bike to rule them all!
It would also be an excellent candidate for bringing along on travels, probably resisting the less-than-gentle luggage handlers better than lightweight carbon frames, plus I wouldn't have to baby it when leaning the bike over a lampost/railing too!
Anyways, til next time!
Ride hard, ride safe
❤️, Tim
