About Hotcheck

Hotcheck makes titanium bike parts designed around real use, not spec sheet numbers. The brand's designer has worked as a machinist, a racer and a mechanic, so every part starts with one question: how can this be better than the OEM version?

Parts are made from S-grade titanium alloy on CNC lathes and machining centers, with tight tolerances wherever parts have to fit together. Performance comes first. Weight, finish and price follow from that.

S-grade Titanium | 1.95g (Shimano), 2.75g (SRAM) | For Shimano Dura-Ace R9xxx/Ultegra R8xxx and SRAM Red/Force

Made with specialised-grade titanium alloy sourced from Baoji Titanium, part of the Baoti Group, one of the leading titanium manufacturers in the world.

This is a titanium rear derailleur pivot bolt in Shimano/SRAM spec. It connects the rear derailleur to the derailleur hanger and acts as the pivot axis the derailleur rotates around when you shift.

Installation and Care

Important: This component holds the rear derailleur in place. Incorrect installation can cause the derailleur to wobble, shift inaccurately, or even come off, which is a safety hazard. We recommend installation by a qualified technician using professional tools.

  1. Applicable models: Shimano R8xxx and R9xxx series mechanical and electronic rear derailleurs, SRAM Red/Force
  2. Tool: 5mm hex key (Shimano), 6mm (SRAM)
  3. Bolt spec: M10 x 1.0
  4. Recommended torque: Shimano: 3 to 4 Nm | SRAM: 3Nm

After installation, please re-check torque, confirm the derailleur rotates smoothly, confirm the derailleur has no unusual play, and set up the shifting.

If you have any questions or problems during first installation or use (such as unusual derailleur wobble, the derailleur not returning properly, inaccurate shifting or frequent dropped chains), stop immediately and contact us. Do not force the parts on or off, and do not continue using the product. Otherwise it may cause serious consequences.
