Compatibility

70mm Option: Most road bikes use this standard, including Aethos 2. Works with 140mm and 160mm rotors.

60mm Option: Known models: Specialized SL9/SL8/Aethos 1 and Cervelo 26 S5. Works with 160mm rotors only.

Measure your Adapter Hole Spacing before purchasing. Spacing is measured from centre to centre of mounting holes.

Installation and Care

This part affects braking safety, so we recommend installation by a qualified mechanic using proper tools. Incorrect installation can cause damage or failure.

70mm version installed in the normal orientation supports 160mm rotors. Reverse installation supports 140mm rotors.

60mm version when used on Specialized models supports forward installation and 160mm rotors only. When used on the Cervelo 26 S5, must be installed in reverse and supports 160mm rotors only.

• Tool: T25 Torx Key
• Apply high quality titanium anti-seize compound to the thread of every screw before installing
• Tighten to 5 to 6 N·m with a torque wrench
• After installing, re-check torque, check rotor clearance, spin the front wheel and test the brake
• On very rough roads, medium strength blue thread locker (such as Loctite 243) can be used instead of anti-seize
• Every 500 km or after riding in the rain, clean with a neutral cleaner and re-tighten to 5 to 6 N·m
• After any crash that hits the front wheel or handlebars, inspect the adapter fully even if it looks undamaged

Skipping anti-seize can cause the titanium screws to seize permanently, and they would then need to be removed destructively. If anything feels wrong during first installation or use, stop and contact customer service.

Not for: downhill, enduro, dirt jumps, freeride, e-bike conversions, or any use beyond road and gravel on paved surfaces.
