About Hotcheck

Hotcheck makes titanium bike parts designed around real use, not spec sheet numbers. The brand's designer has worked as a machinist, a racer and a mechanic, so every part starts with one question: how can this be better than the OEM version?

Parts are made from S-grade titanium alloy on CNC lathes and machining centers, with tight tolerances wherever parts have to fit together. Performance comes first. Weight, finish and price follow from that.

Full S-grade Titanium Construction (Nut, Hanger, Pivot Screw) | 37g (Shimano), 33g (SRAM) | Universal Derailleur Hanger Standard (UDH)

Made with specialised-grade titanium alloy sourced from one of the leading aerospace-grade titanium manufacturers in the world.

Precision 5-axis CNC machined from S-Grade heat-treated titanium alloy for excellent yield/tensile strength.

- Increases stiffness compared to the original Shimano pivot structure

- Minimises play from the stock hanger tolerance gap

- Improves shifting precision and responsiveness.

Note: After installation, the rear derailleur Hi, Lo, and B-Limit screws must be adjusted. If you are unfamiliar, please seek a professional bike mechanic for assistance.

Installation and Care

Important: The parts in this set affect the drivetrain and rear wheel retention. Incorrect installation can cause inaccurate shifting, dropped chains, and even the rear wheel coming out while riding, which are serious safety incidents. We recommend installation and setup by a qualified technician using professional tools. Incorrect installation may also cause component damage or failure.

This product follows the UDH (Universal Derailleur Hanger) direct mount standard. It is suitable for all UDH frames, such as newer UDH frames from Trek (Madone 8), Colnago (Y1RS), Cervelo (2026 S5) and Giant (2027 Propel), among other brands.

  • The rear thru-axle thread must be M12 x 1.0mm.
  • Not compatible with Factor One models.

Please confirm your frame supports UDH and is compatible before purchasing or installing.

  1. Tools: Hex keys (UDH bolt: 10mm. Rear derailleur pivot bolt: 5mm)
  2. Before installing: Apply a suitable amount of grease to the threads of the supplied bolts (such as Shimano grease). Interface grease is not recommended.
  3. Recommended torque: UDH bolt: 25 Nm. Rear derailleur pivot bolt: 3-4 Nm.
  4. Tightening direction: UDH bolt: tighten counterclockwise. Rear derailleur pivot bolt: tighten clockwise.

After installation, please check that the hanger is mounted square (perpendicular), re-check torque, test that there is no interference once the wheel is installed, and set up the shifting.

If you have any questions or problems during first installation or use (for example the hanger angle shifts, or the rear derailleur angle is abnormal), stop immediately and contact us. Do not force the parts on or off, and do not continue using the product. Otherwise, it may cause inaccurate shifting, dropped chains, the chain being pulled into the wheel, or crashes.

Hotcheck 2Y RD Hanger Warranty

Hotcheck guarantees this product for 2 years from the original purchase date. If the product shows visible breakage, twisting or deformation while correctly installed and used in normal riding, the brand will provide a free replacement.

Warranty exclusions (the following are not covered):

  1. Improper installation or maintenance: Not tightening the supplied bolts to the recommended torque (over or under). Thread misalignment or damage caused by the UDH bolt's external thread not being parallel to the hanger's internal thread during installation. Corrosion damage from corrosive substances. Serious consequences, such as the chain being pulled into the wheel, hanger breakage or a crash, caused by a hanger angle shift (from improper installation or use) that was not addressed.
  2. Accidents and misuse: Damage from crashes, impacts or other abnormal external force. Hanger breakage caused by a chain reaction from the serious failure of another component (chain, derailleur, wheelset, etc.). Overloading, such as use in downhill riding or dirt jumps.
  3. Incompatible models: Using the hanger and UDH bolt on Factor One models (known to be incompatible) or on other frames whose compatibility is unconfirmed, or with a rear thru-axle whose thread is not 1.0 pitch, where forced installation causes damage.
Shimano Version: Using the rear derailleur pivot bolt on any derailleur other than the SHIMANO R8xxx and R9xxx series, including but not limited to SHIMANO R7xxx, SRAM and Campagnolo systems.
SRAM Version: Using the rear derailleur pivot bolt on any derailleur other than the SRAM RED and FORCE road electronic series, including but not limited to Shimano systems, SRAM mountain bike systems and Campagnolo systems.
  4. Wear and tear: Hex socket wear marks from normal installation and removal. Surface scratches.
  5. Unauthorized modification: Cutting, drilling, grinding, polishing, anodizing, painting or any other change to the product itself.
  6. Unauthorized channels: Products without valid proof of purchase, or bought from non-official channels.
